A Breath of Fresh Air

O.k.  So the title of this post ended up being A Breath of Fresh Air. Our annual end of school camping trip. But here are some other titles the kids and I came up with;

There’s only So Much Duct Tape Can Fix

Duct Tape is the Name of the Game, and Stinky is the Smell Inside

Welcome to the Jungle

The Last Days of The Shaggin’ Waggin’

I Traded My Hotel Digs for a Stinky Rig and last but not least,

The Krause Motor Home, A Camper like no other!

I only joke because nothing amounts to more fun than being in the motor home with my family!  So what if duct tape is the only thing securing the overhead bunk. Preston survived, and it always gives us lot’s to laugh about (we even wrote a song about it).  I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Getting out of our usual environment is good therapy for all of us. I’m saying a little prayer the Krause motor home will live on!

The Bunny hunters….

And the frog catcher…

Lukey, show us the sign for frog??

And some good lessons learned. When sissy says run, you better run!

Little legs can only run so fast. Down Luke went. So we went from dry clothes to this….

Daddy will keep you warm on the way back.

Preston was feeling free….

Lily was happy…

I really can’t believe another year has gone by. It’s been a rough one in many ways. God’s grace has held us together. I’m grateful for every day, every moment, I get to be with my pack, my gang,  my favorite people in all the world…My Family!

Sounds like the Krause Koach has given you a lot of fun trips. I didn’t know they had a nudest beach! Love you guys.

I’m laughing so hard at the beach picture. That is just priceless.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I smiled when you said you made up a song, because we always did that growing up on roadtrips and vacations- made up silly little songs about the crazy adventures (and misadventures) we were having.

I’m so glad you had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing!

April, It’s great to know we are not the only family who sings! ALOT! My kids friends come over and ask, “Does you mom sing about everything?” My son stopped for a second, then replied, “Pretty much!”

  4. Jen Says:

Hey Pops, Apparently Luke was the only one who knew about the nudest beach! Ha-ha

Wow!! It looks like soooo much fun. Can Uncle Bob and I come along sometime? Of course the old Krause coach will keep going. It is powered by the love of family and the Lord. Who can beat that combination! Preston, Lily and Luke, ask Pops about our old Aljoa trailer and I do mean trailer - one of those old silver things that we pulled behind our car. Picture it - California 1957.We are on our way to camp in Yosemite National Park. The road is winding and sharp turns take you down to the valley floor. Our Papa is such a careful driver, but suddenly we are going faster and faster - the little trailer is pushing the car. Pops yells, “Slow down Dad” But we can’t - we have lost our brakes!! To be continued-
